1. Use different quantity of sample to propagating bacteria in a petri dish, and after lots of expirements, get the most probable number from a statistic theory.

2.Keep bacteria on the membrane using suction filtration. Then cultivate bacteria under suitable conditions and calculate the number of bacteria per liter of sample.
